FIRST Tech Challenge (Robotics)

The Brother Martin FIRST Tech Challenge (Robotics Club) provides students in grades 8 through 12 with the opportunity to learn and apply science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) skills by designing, building, and programming in an open and fun environment. Students are tasked with finding new and interesting projects to work on with other members of the club. Projects can be self-designed or from hobbyist kits.

No previous skills are required. Students who may be inexperienced can learn about electronics, while more advanced members can teach others new skills. Robotics club members learn how to apply the math and science skills that they learn in the classroom to real-life projects. Hopefully, each team member can utilize their knowledge in future careers involving computer programming, business, and engineering.

The club meets after school each Thursday until 5:00 p.m. in room 119.
