Crusaders Host Chi Alpha Mu Games

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOn Friday October 11th, the Mu Alpha Theta Clubs of Brother Martin and Dominican High Schools hosted a Middle School Math Tournament on campus. Over 40 high schoolers from Dominican and Brother Martin helped host the event which saw 140 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students from New Orleans area schools come to compete.

The tournament began with Carnival Games in the 1st Floor Resource Center where students played games and earned tickets that they could spend on door prizes given out at dinner.

The event culminated with a Math Relay in the Conlin Gym where students were separated into teams randomly and had to hop, skip, and run to see which team could come together and complete the math problems the fastest.  The 9th-12th grade students helped run the tournament while the 7th and 8th grade BMHS students participated in the events.
