“O Mary! We crown thee with blossoms today!”
May is the month of Mary and is also a time of spiritual renewal in the Easter season. On Thursday, May 6, members of the Brother Martin community joined together for a morning Mass, celebrated by Fr. Paul Hart ’70, followed by a May Crowning sponsored by Campus Ministry and The Ladies of the Shield.
Brother Martin High School’s devotion to Mary is part of the charism handed to us by our Founder of the Brothers of the Sacred Heart, Fr. Andre Coindre. In honor of our Blessed Mother Mary, guests gathered by her statue for a special blessing and crowning as flutists played the “Ave Maria.'' Throughout the day, students and fellow Partners in Mission prayed The Angelus led by members of the Campus Ministry team.
Thank you to all who made this May Crowning a beautiful and blessed day.
Participants:
Dominick Caronna ’85 and Tommy Jackson ’22 - Flutists
Marc Graffeo ’22 - Crowning of Mary
Andy Biehl ’22, Marc Graffeo ’22 and Logan Milliet ’22 - Members of the Campus Ministry team
