Crusaders Bring Home a Win from Sulphur

dsc_0069On Friday night, the Brother Martin Crusaders (3-3) took their show on the road and defeated the Sulphur Golden Tors (4-2) by a score of 58-13. With the Tors defense committed to stopping running back Bruce Jordan-Swilling, quarterback John-Paul “JP” Pierce carefully picked apart the Tors secondary by completing 11 of 12 passes for 272 yards and 5 touchdowns. Jordan-Swilling still managed to amass 124 yards on 18 carries without playing much in the second half. Jeremy Singleton led the receiving corps with 6 catches for 124 yards. The Crusader defense came up big by holding the Tors to a season low in points (13) and yards (297).

The Crusaders look to continue their winning streak as they take on the Holy Cross Tigers Friday night at Zephyr Stadium. Game begins at 7 p.m. Tickets can be purchased in the Bookstore for $6…or $8 at the gate.  Student id’s, faculty id’s and season passes will be honored for this game.
