Crusader Chorus Scores Superior in LMEA Performances

Chorus LMEA PerformanceCongratulations to members of the Chorus who participated in the LMEA District Music Performance Assessment at UNO on Thursday. The Chorus performed three selections for a panel of judges who scored their performance using the following criteria: tone, intonation, diction, technique, balance, interpretation, and musical effect. The Chorus received a superior rating from each of the three judges for their concert performance.

The Music Performance Assessment also includes a sight reading component, in which the members of the Chorus sing a piece of music that they have never seen before. The sight reading judge scored their performance using the following criteria: rhythmic precision, melodic and harmonic accuracy, and musicianship fundamentals. The Chorus received a superior rating in sight reading as well.

The Chorus was awarded the sweepstakes trophy for straight superior ratings, and will proceed to the LMEA Regional Music Performance Assessment, which will be held at Nicholls State University.

Congratulations to the members of our Chorus!
