Crusader Baseball Played Tough Against the Blue Jays

Brother_Martin_Baseball_04_2018-058Underneath the Friday Night Lights, the Brother Martin Baseball team filled the field of John Ryan Stadium against the Jesuit Blue Jays. Our Crusaders put up a great fight on the diamond, but the Blue Jays got an early lead of 4-0 that came back to haunt the final scoreboard in the 7th inning. The Blue Jays may have gotten an early lead, but the Crusaders kept their defense game strong and didn’t let any other runs tally up. Joining our Crusaders in the dugout was our Brother Martin Chaplain Fr. Paul Hart ‘70 who was bringing them support and cheer during the game.

Throughout the season, our Crusaders have continued to practice hard and played tough against some district competition. As the regular season comes to a close this week with two games against Archbishop Shaw on Tuesday, April 17th and Thursday, April 19th, we wish our Crusaders the best as they continue into the playoffs.

The Crusader Baseball team has a record of 13-14 and have play-offs scheduled for next weekend, April 27-28, 2018. Good luck, Crusaders!
