On March 23, Brother Martin High School hosted its annual Lenten Friday Night Fish Fry sponsored by the Parents Club. Friends, families, students/faculty, and guests gathered on campus, in the Tom and Gayle Benson Mall, to indulge in some great food and fun. Added to our “fried seafood menu” was hot boiled crawfish “cooked to perfection!” Seafood lovers could purchase a plate of boiled crawfish together with potatoes and corn. Thank you to the members of the Brother Martin Class of ’81 who volunteered their time and cooking skills to boil and serve over 650 lbs. of crawfish. This event is one of many that classmates love to return to and support their alma mater. Boilers were able to showcase their culinary skills as Frank McCaskell ’81 (father of Jude ’20) echoed that “getting together with my ’81 classmates to boil crawfish is a great time. We meet a few times a year to have lunch, but the crawfish boil is an opportunity to give back to Brother Martin.”

For further information about alumni volunteer opportunities, please contact the Office of Alumni at 504-284-6700 or alumni@brothermartin.com.

A portion of the proceeds from the Fish Fry will be donated to the Brothers of the Sacred Heart Missions in the U.S. and around the world.
