Hurricane Laura Donation Collection

Dear Parents,

Many of us know all too well the devastation left when a hurricane makes landfall. Brother Martin High School has been in touch with a few agencies in the Lake Charles area to see how our school community can help those who were affected by Hurricane Laura. One of the public health clinics in the Lake Charles area has started collecting items that are desperately needed by residents in that area, and we would like to help them with their collection. Please consider helping us stand in solidarity with the people of Lake Charles.

From Monday, September 28th through Thursday, October 1st, we will be collecting items to be brought to Lake Charles. Personnel at the health clinic have informed us that they have plenty of food, water, clothing and diapers, but they are in need of the following:

  • Mops
  • Buckets
  • Brooms
  • Dust pans
  • Cleaning towels
  • All Purpose Cleaners (i.e. Fabuloso, Ajax, Comet, etc.)
  • Bathroom Disinfectant (i.e. Lysol, etc)
  • Disinfecting wipes
  • Sponges
  • Rubber gloves
  • Work gloves
  • All other cleaning supplies

All items can be brought to the area outside the Auditorium near the spiral staircase next week. All donations are appreciated.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me.

Sincerely,

Kelly Wild
Assistant Principal for Student Services
