Brother Martin Night at the Baby Cakes Game!

DSC08395The “Shrine on Airline” was the place to be on Thursday, May 17th for the annual Brother Martin Night with the New Orleans Baby Cakes sponsored by Pepsi Beverages Company. Pepsi and the Babycakes have graciously offered Brother Martin a suite along with complimentary tickets, for a baseball game, for our students, faculty, and friends for the past few years.

Director of Alumni Scott Corrente ’83 commented that “this year, the Babycakes gave us the opportunity to recognize individuals or teams for their accomplishments during this school year.”  Representatives who participated in the first pitch, team recognition, and the National Anthem before the Babycakes took to field to play against Round Rock. Hunter Appleton ’19 and Landin Sanborn ’22 threw out the first pitch before the start of the game while Crusader alumnus Alex Christian Lucas ’16 sang the National Anthem. Our bowling and tennis teams were even recognized for their victories during the year.  It was a great night for the Brother Martin community and the Babycakes fans!
