Brother Martin Celebrates Easter and New Orleans Tricentennial

DSC05548“As a Crusader, as a New Orleanian, as a Christian… we are all renewed each day to live out God’s plan. To be one with each other and resurrect in the good news with God,” reflected Fr. Paul Hart ’70, Brother Martin Chaplain.

On Friday morning, April 20th, our Brother Martin school community gathered in the Conlin Gym to celebrate our Easter Liturgy, along with the celebration of our city’s Tricentennial anniversary. Coinciding with all of our liturgical celebrations, our Class of 2018 celebrated their last school-wide liturgy as a Brother Martin student. Fr. Paul recognized the leadership and maturity that our seniors exemplify.

Our school community gathered for our liturgy to celebrate new life, born out of the Resurrection of Jesus and to celebrate the 300 historical and cultural years that comprise our great city of New Orleans. Brother Martin is so proud to be a part of this Tricentennial history, and is also very proud to begin our year-long celebration, next school year, of the 50th year of Brother Martin High School and the 150th year of the Brothers of the Sacred Heart in New Orleans – the city that we all call ‘home’.
