On Friday, November 2, our Brother Martin community gathered for a number of Homecoming festivities! Beginning the afternoon, the Culinary Crusaders cooked for our students, alumni, parents and guests for the Homecoming tailgate at Tad Gormley Stadium. Before kick off, our crowd gathered for performances from the Crusader Band, Cheerleaders, and NJROTC. Afterward, the 2018 Homecoming Court was presented with their student escorts.
As the game clock began to tick, the Crusaders took the field. Our Crusader Football team, along with freshman QB Garrett Mmahat, played an impressive game and defeated the Jesuit Blue Jays 16-8! It was an incredible Homecoming victory for our team and for our fans.
Our Crusader Band took the field during halftime for their performance with St. Mary's Dominican High School Debs. Along with their normal routine, the band members were accompanied by the Alumni Band reunion guests and our Junior High Band Night guests. What a remarkable sight to see our future, current and past crusaders playing all together on the field! Once the halftime performance commenced, our Homecoming Court was presented with their alumni escorts. Congratulations to our 2018 Homecoming Queen, Miss. Jordyn Prattini!
After Friday Night's football game festivities, our students had the chance to enjoy the annual Homecoming Dance at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center on Saturday Night. Our Homecoming Court was presented one final time with their nominees. Crusaders and their dates danced the night away!
