News and Notes
  • Brother Neal Golden, S.C. (CJ '57), chairman of the Computer Science Department, is the 2011 recipient of the Florida State College of Education Distinguished Alumni Award in the K-12 category. The awards honor "graduates of the College who have distinguished themselves through scholarly, creative and humanitarian achievement and service to their profession." The awards will be presented at a dinner in Tallahassee October 28.

  • Hillar Moore ('72) has been much in the news recently. As District Attorney of East Baton Rouge Parish, he is handling the case of the two LSU football players charged with assault. One of the defendants, LB Josh Johns, has a Crusader connection as well. Playing for Central in 2008, he blocked the last second FG and ran it back to beat Brother Martin in the second round of the playoffs.
