  • When a Brother of the Sacred Heart dies, a confrere writes his biography for publication in the Annuaire, a yearly compilation of news from all the provinces and districts of the world-wide Institute. Brother Neri Falgout, S.C., ('46) has completed the biography of Brother Nicholas Geisenberg, S.C., who died in October 2010. Read his biography here.

  • Congratulations to Ryan Brock ('05), a senior basketball player at Loyola. Ryan was named to the NAIA Division I All-Star team and made second team All-American. Ryan led the Wolfpack in scoring with 22.2 ppg (which was fourth in the nation), assists (3.3), rebounds (5.1) and steals (1.7). He also made the All-Conference and All-Louisiana teams. On top of all that, Ryan was named the Louisiana Small College Player of the Year by the Louisiana Association of Basketball Coach.

Did You Know?

Mark Wisniewski attended Brother Martin for five years with his twin brother. Mike was Mark's teammate on the wrestling and baseball teams and played football as well.

Mike caught at Nicholls State for a year before joining Mark at Northeast Louisiana. Mike served 23 years in the U.S. Army, including four tours in Iraq. Retired as a major, Mike lives in Georgia.

The twins' older brother John ('79) attended the Air Force Academy. The retired colonel lives in Harvey.
