An article in the February 2013 issue of New Orleans magazine, "Endymion Thinks Big," featured Ed Muniz (SA '57), the founder and captain of Endymion.
  • Ed is serving his first term as mayor of Kenner. He also served on the Jefferson Parish Council from 1987-2003.
  • Before entering politics, Ed was president of Phase II Broadcasting Inc., which owned radio stations in six Southern states.
  • Ed is also quoted in a February 11, 2013, Reuters News article about the impact of Mardi Gras on the local economy.
Dominick Caronna ('85), Band Director, won the 2013 Brother More Schaefer Award. The award is presented by the Board of Directors to a teacher considered outstanding in the field of evangelization through his/her work at Brother Martin.

Kevin Caparotta
Kevin Caparotta ('88), Brother Martin Chorus Director, served as keyboardist for the "Jersey Boys" musical at the Mahalia Jackson Theater in January. He'll be traveling to Houston in a couple of weeks to play "Jersey Boys" again.

Kevin boasts a long list of credits for work on other touring musicals. Here are some recent gigs.

  • 4/12: Grease - musical arrangement (Atlanta Lyric Theater)
  • 9/11: The Addams Family - keyboards; rehearsal pianist (Mahalia Jackson Theater)
  • 6/11: Shrek - keyboards (Mahalia Jackson Theater)
  • 3/11: West Side Story - keyboards (Mahalia Jackson Theater)
  • 4/10: Wicked - keyboards (Mahalia Jackson Theater)
The list stretches back to 1992 when he was fresh out of Loyola. He has also contributed his talents to local pro­ductions at the Stage Door Canteen in the World War II Museum, Tulane Summer Lyric Theatre, Jefferson Per­forming Arts Society, Le Petit Corner Theater, and several high schools.
