Members of the Brother Martin basketball community gathered for multiple events celebrating the rich history of our basketball program.

On Friday, January 11, the Advancement Office hosted a pre-game reception in the Terrace. Alumni and friends enjoyed food and drinks before cheering on the Crusaders against the St. Augustine Purple Knights.

On Tuesday, January 29, Cor Jesu alumni stepped back on campus to watch the varsity basketball team take on the Holy Cross Tigers. The current Crusader basketball team donned the former CJ colors and uniforms on the court. Cor Jesu alumni were also recognized at halftime.

On Tuesday, February 12, St. Aloysius Alumni had a chance to go back in time and watch the varsity team wear the Crimson and White colors and uniforms against the Jesuit Blue Jays. During the timeouts, Fr. Paul Hart ’70, Brother Martin Chaplain, was on hand to lead the Aloysius alumni section in the A-L-O-Y chant.

In conclusion to all of the basketball celebrations, the Alumni Basketball Game was held on Friday, February 15 in the Conlin Gym. Team White, led by Coach Bill Gallagher ’71, took the win against Team Crimson, led by Coach Mike Lemmon. Congratulations, Bryant Boudreaux ’14, who won the 3-point contest!
