Members of the 1970, 1971 and 1974 Brother Martin State Championship Basketball Teams and their family and friends reunited Saturday evening at Lakeview Harbor. Hunter Stewart ’75 initiated the reunion that attracted lettermen from across the country. Donald Newman ’75, assistant coach with the Washington Wizards, came in from DC, Rodney “Snake” Montgomery ’75 from Atlanta, Eric Sander ’76 from Alabama and Ed Rossi ’70, Jay Trapani ’73, Joe Furlan ’72 and Ben Abadie ’76 all came over from Mississippi. Others in attendance included Coach Andy Russo, Tommy Smith ’71, Dale Valdery ’71 and Charlie Furlan ’72 from the 1970 National Championship 36-0 team, Joey Zappardo ’73, Tom Cronin ’74, Jim McCulla ’74, Joe McManus ’75, Leroy Oliver ’75, Jim Klos ’77 and Bro. Neal Golden ’57 CJ.
