A tradition that began at Brother Martin with the dedication of the Branton Chapel in November of 2011, is monthly Eucharistic Adoration. On the first Friday of the month, when school is in session, there is Eucharistic Adoration from periods 1-8. This month, as the First Friday was on January 2nd, and Brother Martin was closed for Christmas vacation, Eucharistic Adoration was on Friday, January 9th.
Eucharistic Adoration is adoring or honoring the Eucharistic Presence of Christ. During Eucharistic Adoration, we “watch and wait”, we remain “silent” in His Presence and open ourselves to His Graces which flow from the Eucharist. In a deeper sense, it involves “the contemplation of the Mystery of Christ truly present before us”.
In its fullest essence, Eucharistic Adoration is “God and Man reaching out for each other, at the same time!”
