Steven Shields ’17 Honored with Dave Schultz Award

Shields_Steven170Congratulations to Steven Shields ’17 who was recently honored with the Dave Schultz High School Excellence Award by the National Wrestling Hall of Fame. Shields is a four- time state champion, and only the second Crusader wrestler to receive that honor. His four state titles were earned in the 106, 113, 120, and 132 pound weight classes. Shields accumulated an impressive 183 wins during his time as a Crusader wrestler and was a team captain his Senior year. He was also a recipient of several wrestling honors over the years including the Crimson Shield award at the 2017 Leadership Ceremony. Shields will continue his educational career at the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy.
