Senior Lunch One of Many Special Events for Class of 2018

DSC04001_5519This fall, the Class of 2018  has been off to a great start receiving senior rings, preparing for annual homecoming festivities, and celebrating their first school-wide Liturgy.

And another rite they will become accustomed to is the quarterly Senior Lunch, sponsored by the Brothers of the Sacred Heart Alumni Association and the Office of Student Services.  The first one, held in late September in the Bro. Mark Thornton Terrace, was just a taste of three more to come for seniors during the school year.

Various senior parents, faculty, and staff were on hand to help make this a great experience for the Class of 2018.  The seniors put away their appetites for the traditional school lunch and were treated, buffet-style, to a hearty meal of fried chicken, macaroni and cheese, salad, dinner rolls, and dessert. The generous desserts donated by various parents of the seniors were particularly popular.

The lunch is also a great time for the seniors to be introduced to the Office of Alumni  and get to know Director of Alumni Scott Corrente ’83. Corrente encouraged seniors to stay involved with clubs, athletics, and other school-related activities during their last year.  He even stressed the importance of finishing strong at Brother Martin and returning as active members of the BOSH Alumni Association.

Elliot Hess ’18 enjoyed the lunch and stated, “It was great having a lunch with just my class. The food was great, and sitting around with my friends was even better. I am definitely looking forward to the future lunches!”

Our young men enjoyed the event!
