About Bro. Mark Hilton, S.C.:
Brother Mark Hilton currently serves as the Provincial of the United States Province of the Brothers of the Sacred Heart. In that role, he is responsible for the Brothers throughout the US, England, and the Philippines as well as their 11 schools and additional ministries. He visits all the communities and schools annually and is enriched by that experience of the wider Institute of the Brothers of the Sacred Heart. Australian by birth, Brother Mark studied at the Brothers high school in Australia and entered the community after he finished college. Brother Mark has taught religion, math, chemistry, and general science in Brothers schools from Grade 7 – 12, co-ed and boys only, in Australia, Rhode Island, and New Hampshire. He has taken up school leadership roles over the past 30 years or so including as the Principal in Australia and Rhode Island and as President of our school in New Hampshire. Brother Mark brings to this day of recollection a wide range of experience with the Brothers and especially with sharing their charism and educational philosophy in workshops across the US, England and the Philippines. He believes deeply in the mission begun by Father André Coindre 200 years ago and in its faithful transmission and embodiment in all the Brothers ministries. As partners in this mission, hopefully, this time of reflection will provide us all with a deeper insight into Coindre’s mission and its presence at the heart of our experience at Brother Martin.
