On Saturday morning at Pan American Stadium the Crusaders and their red-hot offense defeated Landry 35-6. Leading the way for the Crusaders was senior running back Jabbar Singleton who started off the game strong with touchdown runs of 33 and 17 yards on the Crusaders first two possessions of the game. The Crusader defense helped the cause by forcing three early fumbles by Landry. Singleton finished the game with five carries for 104 yards.
Other contributors to the victory were wide receiver Jacob Seward who scored on a nine-yard touchdown pass in the back corner of the end zone thrown by quarterback Stephen Bonnaffons and Jared West who scored on an 18-yard sweep.
The Crusaders will face the Rummel Raiders this Saturday at Tad Gormley, and it will also be Senior Day. Kickoff is set for 3:30 pm.
Catch the game on WGSO 990 am starting at 3:15. A rebroadcast of the game will be televised on WHNO-TV next week.
