On Saturday, the Brother Martin Cross Country team hosted the Jack Schommer Invitational in City Park. The race is named in honor of the school’s first cross country coach and former athletic director.
Taking the win, the varsity team was led by Myles Ceravolo ’17 and junior Tyler Thompson’s Top 10 finishes. The junior varsity also won, with Jackson Schneider ’18 and Emmanuel Guillot ’17 finishing in first place and second. The junior high finished in second place, falling to St. Aloysius of Baton Rouge by two points. The team was led by Top 10 finishes from Gabe Costa ’20, Merritt Pecoraro ’20, and Abram Bernstein ’20. Congratulations to the cross country program for its performance at the Jack Schommer Invitational Saturday. In addition, thank you to all participants that competed in the race.
The varsity team returns to action to compete in the Catholic League District Championship on Tuesday, October 25 in City Park at 4:45 p.m. The event will take place on the course located on the corner of Harrison and Diagonal Road.
