This morning, the student body gathered to celebrate outstanding seasons for its winter sports programs. Head Soccer Coach Louis Smothermon introduced his senior leaders as they prepare for their final district match against Jesuit. Wrestling Coach Robbie Dauterive ’84 got the crowd “jacked up” for the upcoming State Tournament at the Poncthartrain Center on February 11-12. Finally Mr. Bill Gallagher ’71, with help from the ‘Sader Spirit, encouraged the Crusader students to show up for the close of the first round of basketball district play. Additionally, senior cheerleaders and band members were introduced; these two groups set the festive tone for the morning assembly.
