Crusaders Dominate Jack Schommer Invitational

This past Saturday, the Crusader Cross Country Team hosted the Jack Schommer Invitational.  The varsity runners dominated the meet with a perfect score of 15 points, while the JV teams ran away with a victory as well by scoring only 17 points. The junior high team had an outstanding performance as well finishing in 2nd place by only 1 point.  The varsity reached its goal of achieving a 1-5 split of under 45 seconds and a 1-7 split of under 60 seconds. The JV added to this pack running, scoring 17 points and narrowly missing the perfect score. Once again, the Crusader style of pack running was excellent and propelled them to the win.
This week the Varsity Top 7 runs at the Metro Championships Friday afternoon at 4:30 pm. The race will be held on the Lakefront course at the end of Elysian Fields Avenue. Please come out to support the program as they get closer to State.
The remainder of the program – Varsity, JV, and Junior High – will compete this Saturday in City Park at the Brother Martin-Jesuit Dual Meet. The Varsity and JV will race Jesuit at 8 am, and the Junior High will follow at 8:30 am.
