Over the weekend, the Crusader Band marched in the Krewe of Caesar, one of the biggest Metairie parades. The night also marked the first annual “Rhythm on the Route” Band Contest sponsored by board member Cynthia Lee Cheung and Jefferson Parish. Several Jefferson Parish parades are running this contest to help raise the level of bands and entertainment in Jefferson Parish parades. The 1st-3rd place winners get $3000, $2000, and $1000 respectively. The Crusader Band received the 1st place prize! Way to go, Crusaders!
