This year is the 41st annual running of the Al Briede Gold Cup Race. The race will be held this Saturday in City Park, between Tad Gormley Stadium and the practice track. You may register at the bookstore. Come out and enjoy a good time, good food, and cold drinks.
The alphabetical list of students that were invited to the Leadership Celebration has been posted in the Announcement box, please check if you are on this list, tomorrow is the deadline to pick up complimentary ticket and to purchase tickets. No tickets will be available at the door on Sunday.
There are several openings for the Driver’s Education Course and sign up has been extended until next Friday. May 16th. Applications are available in the Student Services Office.
The Student Services Office is taking orders for lettermen jackets and orders will be taken until the last day of school, May 29th. Cost of the jackets-- small, medium or large is $90.00, larger sizes are $105.00. If you have patches that need to be put on please bring them when ordering and payment is due at time of ordering. We have jackets that you can try on for size.
Those 8th & 9th graders that were invited to the Junior National Honor Society Mass, but did not attend, should pick up their certificate and medal from the Student Services Office today.
There will be an ACT preparation course at Brother Martin the 2nd week in June. All Juniors and those sophomores currently enrolled in Algebra II qualify to take the course. If interested you can sign up in the Guidance Office, but remember that space is limited so sign up as soon as possible. Registration forms can be downloaded from the Brother Martin webpage. This class will end in time for the June ACT test. If there are any questions, please see Mrs. Gomez.
Anyone interested in running Cross Country next school year should attend a brief meeting 8th period and after school today in the Auditorium.
The raffle for the Sader Favorites of the 8th graders and Freshmen. These books were selected as the ones they have most enjoyed reading. Check out the display in the lobby and take a chance on winning. The proceeds of the raffle will be sent to Animal Rescue New Orleans, an animal recovery and rehabilitation clinic that is privately funded by donations and volunteers. Chances are 5 for a $1.00. Thanks for your support.
Attention to all Ministers of Holy Communion for the 2008-2009 school year—please see Mr. Nelson in the Gym right before Mass tomorrow morning for our school wide Liturgy. Mr. Nelson will give you assignments and locations for your duties.
There is a mandatory meeting for parents and students of this year’s College Run on Monday, May 19th at 6 p.m. in the Mall. All students going on the College Run are to meet in Room 115 at 7:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 15th.
Students who brought their letterman jacket in for patches to be put on, can pick the jacket up from the Student Services Office.
Attention all Track & Field athletes who missed the convocation—please pick up your certificates from Mrs. Colletti in the Student Services Office.
