A Little Rain Can't Keep the 'Sader Spirit Down

IMG_8423A gloomy morning couldn’t squash the ‘Sader spirit as the student body gathered in the Conlin Gym for a morning pep rally celebrating the successful winter sports programs.  Basketball Coach Chris Biehl got everyone on their feet as the Crusaders get set for a district showdown against the St. Augustine Purple Knights. In keeping with the basketball spirit, the faculty defeated the students 6-4 in the annual faculty vs. student basketball game.  Scottish Hall of Famer and head soccer coach Stephen McAnespie introduced his senior soccer players and sent the spirit through the roof as the players prepare to square off against Jesuit on Saturday.  After a friendly student competition, Wrestling coach Robbie Dauterive ’84 introduced the 3 time state champion wrestling team as they enter the final month of the season.

At Brother Martin, there is a lot to be thankful for and Senior Greg Baumont shared some of his “Thank You” notes with student body. As always, Mr. Fleetwood closed out the pep rally with some highly spirited words of wisdom followed by a singing of the Crusader Fight Song led by the Crusader Band and Cheerleaders.
